Papua Gandeng UI Dukung Pendidikan Dokter Spesialis

Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Papua bekerjasama dengan Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia (FK-UI) Jakarta untuk mendukung pendidikan dokter spesialis yang dikhususkan bagi dokter asli Papua.

Hal itu dikemukakan Kepala Badan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (BPSDM) Papua, Aryoko AF Rumaropen,SP.M.Eng, Kamis malam (10/9/2020).

Selain Universitas Indonesia, Pemprov Papua juga menjajaki kerjasama dengan Universitas Gaja Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta, Universitas Diponegoro Jawa Tengah, dan Universitas Airlangga (Unair) Surabaya Jawa Timur dan Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) Makassar Sulawesi Selatan.

“Jadi program Beasiswa Dokter Spesialis Afirmasi Otsus Papua 2020 sudah selesai tahap seleksi administrasi sesuai dengan syarat yang ditetapkan kampus tujuan yakni Universitas Indonesia. Kita juga akan menjajaki kerjasama dengan UGM, Undip, Unhas dan Universitas Airlangga,”jelas Aryoko.

Menurutnya, dari seleksi administrasi, sebanyak 112 dokter asli Papua telah dinyatakan lulus seleksi administrasi. Mereka selanjutnya bakal mengikuti pra matrikulasi program penyetaraan ilmu dan pengenalan kampus.Kemudian tahapan berikutnya seleksi masuk universitas sesuai dengan program spesialisasi kedokteran.

“Setelah lulus administrasi, tahapan selanjutnya adalah pra matrikulasi kemudian seleksi masuk universitas sesuai spesialisasi,”ujarnya.

Pada kesempatan tersebut, Aryoko Rumaropen menjelaskan bahwa program Beasiswa Dokter Spesialis Afirmasi Otsus Papua 2020 ini dilatarbelakangi kebutuhan tenaga kesehatan di Papua yang hingga kini belum merata di seluruh wilayah di Tanah Papua.

“Program pendidikan dokter spesialis ini sesuai dengan arahan bapak  gubernur dan wakil gubernur Papua yang  melihat kondisi wilayah dan kondisi kesehatan masyarakat Papua. Sehingga pemerintah perlu untuk menyiapkan tenaga dokter spesialis untuk menjawab kebuthan layanan kesehatan di Papua,” jelas dia.

Lebih lanjut dikemukakannya bahwa beasiswa ini diberikan untuk semua dokter asli Papua yang bertugas di Papua maupun Papua Barat. “Kesempatan dibuka bagi semua dokter-dokter Papua yang bertugas di seluruh Tanah Papua. Baik yang bertugas di Kepala Burung (Papua Barat), di rawa-rawa, gunung atau lembah maupun pesisir (Papua). Semua punya kesempatan yang sama.”

Papua Provincial Government is working with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Indonesia (FK-UI) Jakarta to support the education of specialist doctors devoted to Papuan doctors.

This was put forward by the Head of Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) Papua, Aryoko AF Rumaropen,SP. M.Eng, Thursday (Sept. 10, 2020).

In addition to the University of Indonesia, the Papua Provincial Government is also exploring cooperation with Gaja Mada University (UGM) Yogyakarta, Diponegoro University of Central Java, and Airlangga University (Unair) Surabaya East Java and Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Makassar South Sulawesi.

"The Special Autonomy Papua 2020 Affirmative Physician Scholarship program has completed the administrative selection phase in accordance with the requirements set by the destination campus namely the University of Indonesia. We will also explore cooperation with UGM, Undip, Unhas and Airlangga University,"Jelas Aryoko.

According to him, from administrative selection, a total of 112 doctors from Papua have been declared to pass administrative selection. They will participate in a pre-matriculation program of science equality and campus recognition. Then the next stage of university entrance selection is in accordance with the medical specialization program.

"After graduating from administration, the next stage is pre-matriculation and university admission according to specialization," he said.

On this occasion, Aryoko Rumaropen explained that the Special Autonomy Papua 2020 Affirmative Physician Scholarship program is based on the needs of health workers in Papua which until now has not been evenly distributed throughout the region in Papua.

"This specialist education program is in accordance with the direction of the governor and deputy governor of Papua who looks at the condition of the region and the health condition of Papuans. So the government needs to prepare specialist doctors to answer the blindness of health services in Papua," He explained.

He further stated that this scholarship is awarded to all indigenous Papuan doctors who serve in Papua and West Papua. "The opportunity is opened to all Papuan doctors who are in charge throughout Papua. Whether in charge of West Papua, in swamps, mountains or valleys or coastal (Papua). Everyone has the same opportunity."
