“Masyarakat jangan takut divaksin.

The Papua Provincial Government officially announced the COVID-19 vaccination, in the yard of Jayapura Hospital, Friday (16/01/2021) morning.
The announcement involved representatives of public officials, religious leaders, indigenous leaders, community leaders, medical personnel and journalists.
Acting Regional Secretary of Papua Doren Wakerkwa urged the public not to be afraid to be vaccinated. Because the vaccine has been guaranteed by the Center for Drug and Food Control.
"People should not be afraid to be vaccinated. Officials are vaccinated, so do not believe the hoax news that scares you for vaccines. It's actually not a well educated society," he said.
Regional Military Commander of Cenderawasih, Maj. Gen. Ignatius Yogo Triyono TNI after being vaccinated, claimed to be fine and had no impact.
"Once in the usual vaccine, the effect is the same if injected with smallpox," he said.
He reminded the public not to be afraid of vaccines. Because the government program aims to break the chain of COVID-19 spread.
Thus, all people must get a vaccine, so that we become immune to the transmission of COVID-19.
"But that does not mean we are free to gather and not run health protocol. It is fixed but with vaccinations at least we will be able to work more freely so that the economy will run," he explained.
The Regional Military Commander also on that occasion, advised the public not to trust hoaxes in social media related to vaccinations that they judged could lead to death.
"Do not believe the hoax in social media, believe the official government news, this vaccine is very useful to break the COVID chain," he concluded.
