Pemprov Papua Segera Vaksinasi “door to door”

Pemerintah Provinsi Papua segera melakukan vaksinasi COVID-19 “door to door” guna meningkatkan cakupan yang saat ini masih tergolong rendah.

Asisten Bidang Perekonomian dan Kesejahteraan Rakyat Sekda Papua, Muhammad Musa’ad mengatakan hal itu, menyikapi instruksi langsung Presiden Joko Widodo baru-baru ini.

“Untuk mencapai target vaksinasi COVID-19, nanti akan sampai pada tahapan door to door dalam rangka mendukung pelaksanaan PON di empat klaser”.

“Intinya, pelaksanaan vaksinasi harus mencapai 70 persen untuk mencapai herd immunity jelang PON XX pada Oktober nanti,” kata Musa'ad, Jumat (16/7/2021).

Dia menargetkan sekitar 600 ribu orang di empat klaster penyelenggaraan PON, termasuk Kabupaten Keerom, wajib untuk divaksinasi hingga akhir Agustus mendatang.

Sebab sampai saat ini, progresnya diperkirakan baru sekitar 200 ribu warga di seluruh Papua, yang sudah divaksinasi.

“Kami belum hitung berapa banyak yang sudah divaksinasi khusus di lima daerah itu. Nanti dalam waktu dekat akan dihitung dan dipastikan. Tapi memang  cakupan vaksinasi sampai saat ini masih tergolong rendah. Berbagai upaya pun dilakukan dengan menyambangi langsung rumah warga,” ucapnya lagi.

Ditambahkan, sementara untuk menyukseskan percepatan vaksinasi ini, Pemerintah Papua mempertimbangkan melakukan lockdown selama Agustus mendatang.

Hal ini bertujuan agar penanganan vaksinasi tidak terganggu dengan masalah tambahan kasus baru terkonfirmasi COVID-19.

Assistant for The Economy and Welfare of the People's Secretary of Papua, Muhammad Musa'ad said that, addressing president Joko Widodo's direct instructions recently.

"To achieve the target, vaccination will be done door to door in order to support the implementation of National Sports Week in four clusters".

"In essence, the implementation of vaccination must reach 70 percent to achieve herd immunity before October," Musa'ad said, Friday (16/7/2021).

He targeted about 600 thousand people in four clusters of National Sports Week organizations, including Keerom District, mandatory to be vaccinated until the end of August.

Because until now, the progress is estimated to be only about 200 thousand people have been vaccinated.

"We have not calculated how many have been specially vaccinated in those five areas. In the near future it will be counted and confirmed. But indeed vaccination coverage to date is still relatively low. Various efforts were made by visiting the people's homes directly," he said.

Added, while to succeed in the acceleration of vaccination, the Papuan Government considers lockdown during August.

This aims to prevent vaccination treatment from being disrupted by additional confirmed cases of COVID-19.
