The data of indigenous Papuans (OAP) conducted by the district and city governments is certainly completed.
Papua Governor Lukas Enembe is also scheduled to announce the number of OAP on October 20, 2020, which also coincides with the inauguration of the National Sports Week (PON) XX 2021 venue.
"We will publish OAP amount data on October 20, 2020. The data is ready by name and address based on ID number (NIK). Thus, we already have valid data on the number of OAP to then be welfare through regional apparatus organization (OPD) work programs in provinces, districts and cities," explained Governor Lukas, in Jayapura.
The governor added a record number of OAP more 2.3 million. The data will also be presented to the central government.
In addition to announcing the number of OAP, Governor Lukas Enembe will inaugurate the name change of Jayapura Sentani Airport, to Theis Eluay on October 20, 2020
The naming of Theis Eluay as a form of homage to one of Papua's charismatic figures, who is also a figure of Sentani indigenous peoples as well as the owner of land rights at the airport.
Previously Deputy Governor of Papua Klemen Tinal hoped the OAP data collection would be completed soon. It is hoped that the data can be used to prosper the indigenous peoples from education, health, populist economy and infrastructure side.
