The Papua Provincial Government officially enacted the Enforcement of Public Health Protocol Discipline (PDPKM) in Papua as of February 17, 2021, in order to prevent, control and enforce health protocol laws.
Implementation of Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols as Circular Letter 440/1877/SET concerning Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols in Papua Province was signed by the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe.
"This circular letter has been forwarded to all districts and cities to be further implemented by regional leaders in their regions according to the conditions in each region," explained the Head of Communication and Informatics Department of Papua, Jery A. Yudianto in Jayapura, Thursday (18/2/2021).
While in the implementation of Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols, the authorities can later disband and enforce discipline up to a strict legal process involving Police Civil Service, Indonesian Army and Police and Prosecutors.
While the activities in places of worship only allowed to fill 50 percent of the congregation with the application of health protocols.
"Even every place of worship is required to do disinfectant periodically and provide a place to wash hands".
"Similarly, for tourism objects only 50 percent of visitors with the application of health protocols are also closely monitored. As for the wedding ceremony, it can be done by paying attention to health protocols and must get permission COVID-19 Task Force in districts and cities," he said.
On that occasion, Jery hoped that all people in Papua would support the policy of implementing Enforcement of Public Health Protocol Discipline.
It is intended that efforts to prevent, control and enforce the discipline of health protocols in Papua run as expected.
