In connection with the increasing COVID-19 outbreak in Papua, especially Jayapura City, the Governor's guests are now required to include the results of PCR test that is valid for 2x24 hours.
The decision is contained in the letter of the Regional Secretariat No. 440/8934/SET signed by Muhammad Musa'ad as Assistant for Economic Affairs and People's Welfare of the Papuan Regional Secretary, dated August 3, 2021.
"This decision has come into force since Tuesday (3/8/2021) yesterday. In essence, this policy is for the sake of health (governors) together (visiting guests) and be vigilant in efforts to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic," explained Papua Governor Spokesman Muhammad Rifai Darus, in Jayapura, Wednesday (04/08/2021).
Meanwhile, for guests who want to meet with the head of the district, it is now mandatory to pass the Secretary of Governor by submitting a letter of request for an audience through the phone contact number 081346701510 and 081213716568.
The day before, Governor Enembe had also signed a Circular on the Implementation of Restrictions on Level 4 Community Activity Restrictions with the validity period 28 days, from 3 to 30 August 2021.
Level 4 Community Activity Restrictions which is also in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Home Affairs No. 28 of 2021 is applied to three regions, namely Jayapura, Merauke and Mimika PPKM. While 9 districts on level 3, then 17 districts on level 2.
Through the determination of Level 4 Community Activity Restrictions, Governor Enembe wants to focus on public safety.
