JAYAPURA - The National Sports Week Committee received budget support of IDR 313 billion for the quadrennial national event on October 2 to 15, 2021.
Part of the budget was allocated to build electricity infrastructure in Jayapura Regency, Jayapura City, Merauke Regency and Mimika Regency which became the location of National Sports Week implementation and supported the opening activities.

"The support from the beginning of PLN is a commitment to succeed the implementation of National Sports Week in Papua because it is a national event, the success of implementation is the success of the nation," explained Director of Human Resource Management Syofvi F. Roekman, while visiting Lukas Enembe Stadium in Papua, Tuesday (09/14/2021).
Syofvi also guarantees the reliability of electricity supply in all venues and facilities supporting sports events held every four years. Of the total electricity capable of reaching 228.2 megawatts (MW), the projected peak load when the implementation of National Sports Week reaches 153.5 MW. So there is a power reserve of about 74.7 MW.
In addition to generating supplies, PLN has carried out several constructions and retrofitting, including the construction of Medium Voltage Air Lines (SUTM), Medium Voltage Cable Lines (SKTM), Low Voltage Networks (JTR), Circuit Substations, Distribution Substations, and others.
In order to secure electricity during National Sports Week XX, PLN also prepared 129 mobile generator units with a capacity of 100 kW, 200 kW, 500 kW to 1000 kW.
In addition, 55 units of Walking Substations (UGB), 45 units of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Mobile, 7 units of Mobile Cable Units (UKB) and 4 Units of Cable and Cubicle Mobile (UKKB) are also prepared.
On the other hand, during the standby period, September 18-October 15, 2021 PLN will alert 1,574 personnel in 45 match locations and 230 other strategic locations such as VIP offices, inns, hospitals, command centers and others are also almost completed.
Chairman of the National Sports Week Committee, Yunus Wonda, said that PLN's role is very large to ensure the supply and reliability of electricity in the implementation of National Sports Week.
