Papua Bangkit Stadium and Six Venues of National Sport Week Inaugurated by Jokowi

SENTANI - Indonesian President Joko Widodo inaugurated Papua Bangkit Stadium located in the Lukas Enembe Stadium area, Kampung Harapan, Jayapura Regency, Papua, Saturday (02/010/021) morning.

Jokowi on that occasion also inaugurated symbolically six venues of National Sport Week built by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, marked by the signing of inscriptions.

"If the development of Papua Bangkit Stadium is approximately IDR 287 billion and is done by PT. PP (Housing Development)," he said.

Chairman of National Sport Week Committee, Yunus Wonda said in his direction the President emphasized that after the event, existing venues can still be used as a means to develop Papuan sports talent.

"Mr. President hopes all venues will not be abandoned, so there must be activity. The Government of Papua can use the venue of the development of Papuan athletes to be prepared to become reliable athletes both nationally and internationally," Yunus said.
