JAYAPURA - National Paralympic Week XVI Papua 2021, officially closed Saturday (13/11/2021) by President Joko Widodo.
The host also incised “ink gold” with a collection of 125 gold, 85 silver and 85 bronze for a total of 295 medals..
Ahead of 23 gold medals, Papua also managed to beat West Java in second place with 102 gold, 85 silver, and 69 bronze with an overall medal of 256.
"I congratulate Papua Province for the achievements as a general champion," said the President, as he closed the quadrennial event, at Jayapura Mandala Stadium.
The President on that occasion appreciated the various parties in organizing National Paralympic Week in Papua. Where the result of hard work, ensuring the implementation of national-level sports parties for people with disabilities, can be carried out successfully.
Moreover, the performance carried out by the Papua Provincial Government which seriously makes this sporting event can be realized.
As Chairman of National Paralympic Week XVI, the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe was proud of the achievements of Papuan athletes, who also strongly uphold sportsmanship at each race.
