DENPASAR - The Papua Provincial Government won an award as the Regional Government with the highest increase in the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) value in 2023, to encourage the acceleration of corruption prevention in its region.
The award by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was received by the Acting Governor of Papua DR. M. Ridwan Rumasukun, SE, MM, on the sidelines of the Regional Coordination Meeting on corruption eradication in regional governments in Region V, Year 2024, in Denpasar, Thursday (2/5/2024).
Acting Governor Ridwan Rumasukun on that occasion appreciated all officials in his region who succeeded in increasing the achievements of MCP Papua.
He hopes that this achievement can continue to be maintained to realize a clean and corruption-free government in Papua Province.
"Because this award is a very high jump which before 2022 was in the range of 60 in 2023 was above 90."
"This award is also a collaborative work because there are 8 areas that are targeted by the KPK assessment on governance in the Papua Regional Government," he said.
It is known that eight areas of corruption-prone points that are assessed in the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) of the Corruption Eradication Commission, namely planning and budgeting the regional budget, procurement of goods and services, licensing, APIP supervision, optimization of regional taxes, regional asset management and village financial management.
The agenda for eradicating corruption in local governments in Region V, in 2024, in Denpasar, was attended by the Corruption Eradication Commission, Ministry of Home Affairs, LKPP, Bali Regional Government, NTT, NTB and Provincial Governments throughout Papua. ***
