JAYAPURA – Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong said the free nutritious food (MBG) program for students must be packaged well because this food is for one year's needs.
"The free nutritious food is for the needs of a year, so you can't just think for one day, therefore, it must be packaged well," said Ramses.
For everything to go well, careful coordination and preparation are needed so that this program can run well and on target.
He also continues to encourage the acceleration of the independent kitchen program for the provision of MBG for students in various districts in Papua.
This effort is accompanied by some Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units that have been gathered to ensure operational readiness, including the availability of cooking utensils and other supporting facilities.
"In the meeting, Abepura District was considered ready to start this program," said Governor Ramses.
However, the capacity of the independent kitchen managed by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) together with the restaurant is still limited, with a maximum of 3,500 servings per day. Meanwhile, the number of elementary school students in Abepura reached around 8,000.
"In that meeting, I have directed the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit, but the main coordinator is still the National Nutrition Agency through Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units in each region," he concluded. ***
