JAYAPURA – The attendance rate of Civil Servants (ASN) within the Papua Provincial Government reached between 70 to 80 percent on the first day back at work after the Eid holiday, out of a total of more than 8,300 provincial employees.
This was conveyed by the Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, on Wednesday (April 9).
He mentioned that there was a Circular Letter from the Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), allowing an additional day of *Flexible Working Arrangements* (FWA) on the first day back to work, Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
"However, we are not significantly affected by traffic congestion, so there’s no urgency for us to extend leave for civil servants. As you can see, I’m at the office today,” said Ramses.
He further stated that public services must resume immediately after the Eid holiday. "We're back to work to serve the community, including services that interact directly with the public such as the Motor Vehicle Tax Office, hospitals, and licensing departments,” he explained.
The Governor also instructed each regional agency (SKPD) to report the attendance of their staff on the first day back at work. ***
