JAKARTA – Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, underscored that simplicity is the foundation for collaboration and innovation. (September 24, 2025)
She delivered this message during the Thanksgiving Ceremony marking the 24th Anniversary of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, held at the Sapta Pesona Building, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (September 23, 2025).
“Remain humble. Without humility, we cannot truly gain knowledge. We may feel that we know everything, that we do not need others, and in the end, it becomes difficult to work collaboratively,” Meutya told the Komdigi community.
According to her, simplicity is reflected not only in lifestyle or appearance, but also in attitudes that make it easier for others to embrace new ideas and innovations.
“Being simple is not merely about avoiding pretension. With simplicity, people are more open to listening to the ideas and thoughts we share,” she explained.
In today’s dynamic digital era, Meutya reminded, integrity and professionalism must remain the ministry’s foundation. She highlighted the importance of strengthening teamwork to achieve key program targets.
“My directive is clear: uphold integrity, maintain professionalism, continue the good work, and strengthen collaboration. I never tire of emphasizing collaboration, because only through it can we achieve great results,” she asserted.
The 24th Anniversary of Komdigi, she added, is a momentum to renew the spirit of togetherness. She invited all staff to make Indonesia’s digital space safer, more resilient, and inclusive.
“Happy 24th anniversary to us all. Let us nurture the digital space so that it becomes a healthy and beneficial space for all Indonesians,” she concluded.
Earlier, Secretary General of Komdigi, Ismail, emphasized the significance of this year’s celebration as a historic milestone for the ministry.
“Alhamdulillah, today we celebrate the 24th anniversary of the ministry. This is our first anniversary celebration under the new name, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs. It marks an important chapter in our journey to safeguard sovereignty in both communication and digitalization,” he said. ***
