JAYAPURA – Acting Chair of the Family Welfare Empowerment Mobilization Team (TP PKK) of Papua Province, Tyas A. Fatoni, together with the management of the Papua Provincial PKK, shared moments of happiness with children at the Peter Orphanage in Jayapura, Papua, on Saturday (September 27, 2025).
The visit was held as a form of care and attention from the Papua Provincial PKK for the children living at the orphanage.
“We are here for all of you, to share joy. The Family Welfare Empowerment Mobilization Team also brought gifts, including storybooks, food supplies, toiletries, milk, and snacks for the children. Hopefully, these will be useful and bring happiness,” said Tyas Fatoni in her remarks.
On this occasion, Tyas also delivered a heartfelt message to the children, encouraging them to remain motivated in their studies and to place education above all else.
“Please keep your spirits high in studying. Make education your top priority so that in the future you can achieve your dreams and become successful. Education is number one. Without knowledge, we will fall behind,” she emphasized.
The visit was filled with engaging activities such as storytelling, hygiene education, and singing together with the children. The atmosphere throughout the event was warm, joyful, and full of enthusiasm.
One of the orphanage residents, Renata—currently pursuing her studies at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB)—expressed her gratitude for the visit of the Acting Chair of the Family Welfare Empowerment Mobilization Team of Papua and her entourage. She also voiced her hope that more children in Papua would have the opportunity to access education fairly and equally.
“We are very happy to be visited. I hope that children here will continue to be encouraged to study and be given equal educational opportunities,” she said.
Through this visit, the Papua Provincial Family Welfare Empowerment Mobilization Team reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the growth and development of Papua’s younger generation—whether through education, health, or the fulfillment of other basic needs. ***
