JAYAPURA - Papua Governor Lukas Enembe is planned to announce the 2023 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) on November 21st.
This was conveyed by the Acting Head of the Industry, Trade, Cooperative, SMEs and Manpower of Papua Province, Pendius Wanimbo, in Jayapura, Tuesday (8/11/2022).
However, according to Pendius, his party is currently still waiting for the formulation of the 2023 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) calculation from the Ministry of Manpower.
"If the formulation of the UMP calculation has been determined, then the next office will discuss the 2023 Papua UMP with related parties".
"This means that we follow the formulation of the UMP calculation from the central government. Last year, we were in second place in the highest UMP after Jakarta, but this year we don't know what it will be like, because the formulation is set by the central government," he explained.
Pendius added that the UMP formulation will also adjust inflation and PDRB data and others.
It is known that the government is currently still formulating the 2023 UMP based on inputs received from various parties.
Inputs to formulate the 2023 UMP were received from trade unions, workers, entrepreneurs, and related stakeholders. ***
