BOTAWA - Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun during his working visit to Waropen Regency, on Thursday (19/10/2023), handed over a number of aid packages for stunting prevention and inflation control.
The aid package is in the form of nutritious food, two tons of rice, mosquito nets and medicine, basic food assistance, and others.
In addition to handing over assistance, Acting Governor Rumasukun also handed over IDR 2 billion in cash to support preparations for implementing the Cenderawasih Bay Sail this month in Biak Numfor Regency.
"I express my gratitude and ask the local community to support government programs in handling stunting and controlling inflation equally," explained Governor Ridwan.
In addition to handing over aid, the Acting Governor of Papua also held face-to-face meetings with local residents.
The governor also visited the Integrated Service Post and encouraged health cadres to fight to save toddlers from stunting.
The series of working visits by the Acting Governor of Papua, Ridwan Rumasukun ended in Sarafambai Village, Waropen District, Waropen Regency to visit stunting toddlers.
Head of Bappeda Papua Yohanes Walilo said that the visit to 9 regencies/cities in Cenderawasih Earth was to reduce stunting rates and extreme poverty.
"The purpose of the working visit is to reduce stunting and extreme poverty which is a national program that must be implemented by 9 districts/cities and Papua Province," he explained. ***
