JAYAPURA - The colossal dance of 2,600 students from Papua officially broke the MURI record at the peak of the 2024 National Children's Day (HAN), at Papua Bangkit Stadium, Kampung Harapan, Jayapura Regency, Tuesday (23/7/2024).
The award was handed over by MURI Director of Operations Jusuf Ngadri to the General Chairman of the Solidarity Action Organization for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet Era (OASE KIM), Tri Tito Karnavian, which was then forwarded to First Lady Iriana Jokowi, as an offering on National Children's Day.
President Jokowi also witnessed the handover of the MURI record along with Ministers, governors throughout Indonesia and related officials.
The Chairman of OASE KIM, Tri Tito Karnavian, stated that the holding of the peak of the 2024 National Children's Day commemoration in Papua was based on the President's decision to realize a golden Indonesia in 2045. On the other hand, children are a valuable asset for the country and will be the nation's successors in the future.
"For this reason, OASE KIM under the guidance of the first lady fully supports the 40th National Children's Day commemoration to be held in Papua," he said.
Meanwhile, at the peak of the 2024 National Children's Day celebration in Papua, around 6,000 children from PAUD, SD. Junior High School to High School in Papua Province. Also present were representatives of children from all provinces accompanied by the wives of governors throughout Indonesia.
Acting Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun said that the commemoration of National Children's Day this time is a reminder for us to pay serious attention to the nation's next generation. To increase public awareness of children's rights and welfare.
"We are invited to jointly create an environment that supports children's development in terms of education, health and welfare protection."
