JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua, Maj. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Ramses Limbong together with the Chairman of the Family Empowerment and Welfare and his entourage carried out a Working Visit to Sarmi District, Thursday (24/10/2024).

The working visit was to attend the peak event of National Fish Day XI 2024, as well as a meeting with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Sarmi Regency.

Head of the Papua Provincial Communication and Informatics, Jeri Agus Yudianto said the first visit of the Acting Governor of Papua to Sarmi Regency would carry out several activities.

"The first activity will be at the peak of National Fish Day XI in 2024 in Sarmi Regency, Friday tomorrow," he told reporters.

Jeri explained this agenda (Thursday-red) is to hold a meeting with the Acting Regent of Sarmi, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, the Regional Work Unit and Traditional Leaders / People of Sarmi.

Meanwhile, the peak of the National Fish Day event, Jeri said, will take place at Pelni Sarmi Port.

"The agenda of the second day of the Acting Governor's visit in Sarmi was very packed, with the agenda of the Fish Eating Campaign, the Provision of Fisheries Package Assistance and other packages from the Papua Provincial Government and Sarmi Regency, the Review of the Ship Book Electronic Outlet," he said.

After that, it was continued with the Review of the Integrated Health Service Post and the Provision of Supplementary Food for Early Childhood and Kindergarten. Eating Fish Together, reviewing the Weaving Center (Sawar), Interaction with Weaving MSMEs, reviewing the Family Empowerment and Welfare of Sarmi for Chili Plantation and Coconut Plantation and holding meetings with Chili Farmers and handing over Seed Assistance, Fertilizer Stimulant Assistance for Coconut Farmers.

He continued, that the Governor and his entourage would also visit the Hendri Vintai Hospital and, after that hold a meeting with fishermen in the Sarmi fishing village.
