JAYAPURA - Acting Governor of Papua Ramses Limbong encourages the involvement of youth in his region to manage the abundant natural resource potential of the land of paradise.
However, in addition to its management must be good and correct, innovation and creativity from Papuan youth are needed. So that the allocation is on target and the results are useful for the people’s welfare.
Governor Ramses conveyed this after leading the 2024 Youth Pledge Day Commemoration Ceremony at the Lukmen Hall of the Papua Governor's Office, Jayapura City, on Monday (28/10/2024).
Ramses Limbong also stated that the youth roadmap being echoed is important to achieving the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
Because of the clear roadmap, it is hoped that Papuan youth can be more directed in developing the potential of the local area.
"The government through the relevant Regional Apparatus Organizations needs to facilitate by opening space for youth. Don't wait for the budget to work, but make a concept of collaboration," Ramses urged.
Meanwhile, Ramses emphasized examples of natural resource potential owned by Papua such as Sentani Lake, which has not been managed optimally. He hopes that the involvement of Papuan youth can pave the way to optimize their potential.
"The point is that this potential needs a breakthrough from Papuan youth. If they have started to think creatively and innovatively, Papuan youth will become great leaders," he said. ***
