JAYAPURA - The Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, asked the Regents and Mayors in Papua who have been inaugurated to work fully for the people.
Ramses also emphasized the importance of creativity and innovation in carrying out government programs, especially under budget constraints.
"Limited funds should not be an obstacle for regional heads in carrying out their duties and responsibilities," said Ramses.
Ramses considers the budget important, but the most important thing is to work with innovation and creativity.
"If we only think about the budget, we will not do anything. But if we can think creatively, then everything can be carried out even with the existing limitations," he said.
In addition, he emphasized the importance of efficiency in budget expenditure so that regional policies can run optimally.
"Budget efficiency must be a top priority. Many budget posts can be streamlined without reducing the quality of service to the community," he said.
Furthermore, Ramses explained that the Papua Provincial Government is currently rationalizing the budget to determine posts that can be streamlined.
He hopes that the district and city governments will also implement similar steps by adjusting their respective priorities under the national development vision contained in Asta Cita. ***
