JAYAPURA – Four regencies and cities in Papua have begun implementing the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program for students.
The areas include Jayapura City and the regencies of Sarmi, Yapen, and Biak.
Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, said the program is being rolled out in stages.
The cost per meal ranges from IDR 25,000 to IDR 40,000.
"Currently, four regions are already implementing the MBG program. It is being carried out gradually based on the readiness of the nutrition kitchens," he said.
Ramses added that the program will soon expand to Jayapura Regency and Keerom, both of which are in the preparation phase.
“The official launch of MBG in Jayapura Regency and Keerom will take place soon,” he stated. ***
