JAYAPURA - The existence of a discourse that encourages the implementation of the Papua Street Carnival, held once a year, has received a positive response from the Papua Provincial Government.

The Daily Executive of the Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun is ready to support the agenda to advance the creation of the Papuan youth.

Moreover, the discourse was ejected directly from the mouth of President Jokowi, when visiting Papua Province, last week.

"The President wants the event must be held again next year and we fully support it for sure," said Ridwan in Jayapura, Monday 10/7/2023).

According to him, in addition to the direction from President Jokowi to the provincial and district/city governments related to the discourse of the annual agenda of the Papua Street Carnival, his party is optimistic that this event will be able to improve the economy of Papua.

Through the talents of these Papuan youth, there will be potential that can open up job opportunities to stimulate the regional economy.

"I see that the Papua Street Carnival is a very positive event because it shows the great potential of young Papuans."

"Of course, the diverse talents possessed by Papuans will have an economic impact on their regions, including the government," said Ridwan.

Ridwan appealed that the Papua Street Carnival will become a routine agenda in regencies and cities.

It is hoped that young Papuan talents will emerge who will be creative in advancing their family's economy and even Papua generally. ***
