JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government has conducted another round of job rotation as part of efforts to refresh the bureaucracy. Three civil servants were officially appointed as acting heads for key positions on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the Papua Governor’s Office.
Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, personally handed over assignment letters to:
Robert Awi as Acting Head of the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR)
Orgenes Kambuaya as Acting Head of the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD)
Urip Supriadi Sukirno as Acting Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP)
Ramses emphasized that the move is a standard organizational refreshment within the government. He hopes the new appointments will accelerate work and improve public service delivery.
“Job rotation is part of the refreshment process to ensure the government runs more effectively and productively,” said Ramses.
He explained that Marthen Kogoya, the former Head of the Regional Civil Service Agency, has now been assigned to assist the Papua Mountain Province Government as Acting Head of one of its departments. This placement was based on a direct request from the Governor of Papua Mountains and has been approved.
Meanwhile, the change in leadership at the Civil Service Police Unit was made because the previous official was deemed ineffective in carrying out their primary duties, as they were more focused on activities within the Regional Disaster Management Agency.
As for the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department, the leadership change occurred because the previous acting official had served for more than two years. Ramses noted that it was time to allow another official to continue development programs.
He reminded all newly appointed officials to work professionally and uphold ethics in leading their respective agencies.
“Do your work well and according to your duties. Our job is to serve the public and maintain their trust,” he stressed. ***
