JAYAPURA – The Papua Provincial Government has officially launched the BERLIAN Movement (Together Protect Children) as part of its commitment to strengthening the fulfillment of children's rights and enhancing child protection through collaboration among all sectors of society.

The movement was inaugurated by Papua Vice Governor Aryoko A.F. Rumaropen at the 9th Floor Hall of the Papua Governor's Office on Thursday (July 23, 2026), as part of the 42nd National Children's Day commemoration at the provincial level.

Aryoko said the BERLIAN Movement is expected to serve as a collaborative platform that brings together government institutions, the private sector, educational institutions, religious leaders, traditional leaders, the media, and local communities to create a safe environment that supports children's growth and development.

"Let us move forward together through the BERLIAN Movement. Let this initiative resonate from the cities to the most remote villages," he said.

According to Aryoko, child protection should become an integral part of the province's development culture rather than being limited to ceremonial activities during National Children's Day celebrations. He emphasized that every public policy and public service should place the best interests of children at its core.

Aryoko further stressed that the children of Papua are the generation that will shape the region's future. Therefore, all stakeholders have a shared responsibility to ensure that every child enjoys their fundamental rights to education, protection, healthcare, and opportunities for personal growth.

"In the Land of Papua, not a single child should be left behind. Love our children, Papua CERAH. Love our children, love Indonesia," Aryoko stated.

Through the BERLIAN Movement, the Papua Provincial Government hopes to expand efforts to fulfill children's rights and strengthen child protection across all parts of the province, creating a safer, more inclusive, and child-friendly environment in line with the Papua CERAH development vision. ***
