Kebutuhan dasar energi Provinsi Papua mulai dihitung lewat kegiatan penyusunan Rencana Umum Energi Daerah atau RUED yang melibatkan instansi terkait di wilayah setempat, Selasa (27/9/2022). The basic energy needs of Papua Province began to be calculated through the preparation of the Regional Energy General Plan or RUED involving relevant agencies in the local area, Tuesday (27/9/2022).
JAYAPURA - Kebutuhan dasar energi Provinsi Papua mulai dihitung lewat kegiatan penyusunan Rencana Umum Energi Daerah atau RUED yang melibatkan instansi terkait di wilayah setempat, Selasa (27/9/2022).
Kegiatan Bimtek RUED dibuka oleh Gubernur Papua yang diwakili Staf Ahli Gubernur Papua Bidang Pemerintahan Hukum dan Politik Triwarno Purnomo.
Disela-sela kegiatan tersebut, Triwarno berharap penyusunan RUED menghasilkan dokumen perencanaan yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dasar terkait energi.
“Sehingga semua potensi dan kebutuhan energi Papua ini bisa dihitung dengan baik dalam rangka menjaga ketersediaan pasokan energi dan menjamin keberlanjutna pembangunan di tanah Papua,” harapnya.
Dewan Energi Nasional, Anang Kristanto mengatakan tujuan utama penyusunan RUED adalah untuk melihat kebutuhan energi di Papua sampai 2050 berdasarkan indikator pertumbuhan ekonomi, kependudukan dan rencana pembangunan.
Dengan begitu, pemerintah setempat akan menyiapkan sisi suplai energi yang harus disiapkan.
“Tapi tentu tak lupa kita memaksimalkan potensi energi baru terbarukan di Papua yang sangat melimpah dan nanti dimasukan dalam RUED Provinsi ini,” terangnya.
Pelaksana Tugas Kepala Dinas Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Elyas Wenda mengatakan, berdasarkan peraturan Presiden Nomor 22 Tahun 2017 tentang Rencana Umum Energi Nasional yang mewajibkan pemerintah daerah untuk menyusun RUED.
Dengan demikian, Pemprov Papua lewat Dinas EDDM bekerja sama dan didukung oleh Global Green Growth Institute Indonesia melaksanakan serangkaian kegiatan guna menyusun dokumen RUED tersebut. ***

The technical guidance for RUED was opened by the Governor of Papua, represented by the Expert Staff of the Governor of Papua for Legal and Political Government, Triwarno Purnomo.
On the sidelines of these activities, Triwarno hopes that the preparation of the RUED will produce a planning document that can meet basic needs related to energy.
"So that all the potential and energy needs of Papua can be calculated properly in order to maintain the availability of energy supply and ensure the continuity of development in the land of Papua," he hoped.
The National Energy Council, Anang Kristanto said the main purpose of preparing the RUED is to look at energy needs in Papua until 2050 based on indicators of economic growth, population and development plans.
That way, the local government will prepare the energy supply side that must be prepared.
"But of course we should not forget to maximize the potential of new renewable energy in Papua which is very abundant and will be included in the Provincial RUED," he explained.
Acting Head of the Energy and Mineral Resources Service (ESDM), Elyas Wenda said, based on Presidential Regulation Number 22 of 2017 concerning the National Energy General Plan which requires local governments to compile a RUED.
Thus, the Papua Provincial Government through the EDDM in collaboration with and supported by the Global Green Growth Institute Indonesia carried out a series of activities to compile the RUED document. ***
