BPS : Pemekaran Provinsi Bakal Dorong Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja

JAYAPURA - Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Papua menyatakan pembentukan tiga Daerah Otonom Baru (DOB) di Bumi Cenderawasih sedikit banyak akan menyerap tenaga kerja dalam jumlah yang besar.

Hal ini disampaikan Koordinator Fungsi Statistik Sosial Sugiyanto, di Jayapura, Selasa (8/11/2022).

Penegasan itu, kata dia bukan tanpa alasan sebab dari survei Angkatan Kerja Nasional (Sakernas) Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka (TPT) pada Agustus 2022, tercatat sebesar 2,83 persen atau turun 0,50 persen dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya  yakni 3,33 persen.

Menurunnya tingkat pengangguran pengangguran disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya penyerapan tenaga kerja di sektor pertanian yang mencapai 71,49 persen, kemudian perdagangan 6,78 persen dan pemerintah 5,68 persen.

"Hanya memang untuk pola lapangan pekerjaan dalam menyerap tenaga kerja ini masih sama dengan Agustus 2021”.

“Lalu berdasarkan penduduk usai bekerja, masih di dominasi oleh tamatan SD ke bawah dalam hal ini ada yang belum tamat sebesar 60,14 persen, kemudian pada tamatan diploma dan universitas sebesar 6,62 persen,” ujar ia.

Diketahui, penduduk usia kerja merupakan semua orang yang berumur 15 tahun ke atas di mana usia kerja cenderung meningkat yakni sebanyak 2,56 juta orang. ***

He said that the National Labor Force (Sakernas) survey, the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2022, was recorded at 2.83 percent, down 0.50 percent compared to the previous year of 3.33 percent.

The decline in the unemployment rate is caused by several factors, including employment in the agricultural sector which reached 71.49 percent, then trade 6.78 percent and the government 5.68 percent.

"Only indeed for the pattern of employment in absorbing this workforce is still the same as in August 2021".

"Then based on the population after work, it is still dominated by elementary school graduates and below in this case there are those who have not finished by 60.14 percent, then in diploma and university graduates by 6.62 percent," he said.

It is known that the working-age population is all people aged 15 years and over where the working age tends to increase, namely as many as 2.56 million people. ***
