JAYAPURA - Pemerintah Provinsi Papua saat ini tengah gencar-gencarnya menumbuhkan perekonomian di wilayahnya. Dimana salah saty fokus utama yang dilakukan, yakni melakukan perbaikan infrastruktur daerah.
Penjabat Sekda Papua Derek Hegemur meyakini untuk mendukun pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan, modal utama yang perlu dilakukan adalah dengan memperbaiki infrasruktur daerah pada semua lini.
Sebab dengan infrastruktur yang memadai, tingkat inflasi dapat tetap terkendali dengan baik.
“Termasuk pertumbuhan ekonomi year on year Papua akan terus membaik juga berkat kerjasama semua pihak," ucap di Kota Jayapura, Kamis.
Lanjut Sekda, kolaborasi antar berbagai pihak juga menjadi kunci dalam menjaga tren positif pertumbuhan ekonomi Papua ke depannya. Karena lewat kerjasama yang solid, diharapkan Papua dapat terus berkembang ke arah yang positif demi kesejahteraan masyarakat.
"Pemerintah tidak bisa kerja sendiri, butuh dukungan dari semua pihak. Termasuk dukungan dari masyarakat supaya ekonomi Papua terus bertumbuh positif," ujar Sekda.
Sekda Derek juga mengklaim pertumbuhan ekonomi di wilayahnya saat ini dalam kondisi yang baik dan cukup kompetitif.
Hal ini ditandai capaian tingkat inflasi yang terjaga dengan baik hingga pertengahan 2024 ini.
Data Badan Pusat Statistik Papua mencatat, Papua mengalami inflasi year on year sebesar 1,47 persen pada Juni 2024. Kementerian Dalam Negeri pun mengapresiasi Papua sebagai salah satu daerah yang berhasil mengendalikan inflasi.
Ia menambahkan pertumbuhan yang baik ini didukung tenaga kerja dan kebijakan yang tepat.
"Kalau ada hal-hal lainnya tentu itu menjadi perhatian pemerintah daerah untuk memperbaikinya," tandasnya. ***
