Diskominfo Papua Sediakan Jaringan Internet Gratis di Kampung Bring The Communication and Informatics Service of Papua Provides Free Internet Network in Bring Village
Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo) Papua sebagai instansi teknis pengampu teknologi tak ketinggalan berperan aktif membangun Kampung Ekonomi Mandiri Bring di Kabupaten Jayapura, dengan menyediakan dukungan infrastruktur digital (sambungan internet gratis) bagi warga setempat. JAYAPURA - Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo) Papua sebagai instansi teknis pengampu teknologi tak ketinggalan berperan aktif membangun Kampung Ekonomi Mandiri Bring di Kabupaten Jayapura, dengan menyediakan dukungan infrastruktur digital (sambungan internet gratis) bagi warga setempat.
Dukungan infrastruktur digital berupa VSAT Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Starlink yang diserahkan kepada aparat kampung setempat pada kunjungan Pj Gubernur Papua Ramses Limbong, saat meluncurkan Kampung Bring sebagai Pilot Project kampung mandiri ekonomi, Jumat (13/9/2024).
Kepala Dinas Kominfo Papua Jeri A. Yudianto menyampaikan, seperti pada beberapa tempat di daerah remote, instansinya menyiapkan Vsat sebagai backbone internet secara gratis yang dapat dinikmati warga setempat sesuai coverage atau jangkauannya.
"Untuk Kampung Bring kita menyediakan Vsat Starling yang cukup praktis dan ekonomis dilengkapi dengan 1 access point untuk memperluas jangkauanya."
"Vsat sebenarnya sudah terpasang 1 bulan yang lalu, yang dilihat dari trafic penggunanya berkisar 30 - 50 User setiap hari. Diharapkan user yang menerima manfaat internet gratis ini, digunakan untuk meningkatkan literasi dan hal - hal yang positif dan produktif," ucap ia.
Sementara terkait pemeliharaan fasilitas, Jeri menambahkan Kominfo Papua akan bekerja sama dengan Pemda setempat lewat peningkatan kapasitas dalam bentuk literasi digital. Serta hal lainnya yang berhubungan dengan ekosistem teknologi informasi. ***

Digital infrastructure support in the form of Leo Starlink VSAT was handed over to local village officials during the visit of the Acting Governor of Papua, Ramses Limbong, when launching Bring Village as a Pilot Project for economically independent villages, Friday (13/9/2024).
Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Office, Jeri A. Yudianto, said that in several places in remote areas, his agency has prepared Vsat as a free internet backbone that can be enjoyed by local residents according to its coverage or range.
"We provide Vsat Starlink which is quite practical and economical equipped with 1 access point to expand its range."
"Vsat was installed 1 month ago, as seen from the user traffic of around 30 - 50 users every day. It is hoped that users who receive the benefits of this free internet will be used to increase literacy and positive and productive things," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the maintenance of facilities, Jeri added that the Communication and Informatics Service of Papua will collaborate with the local government through capacity building in the form of digital literacy related to the information technology ecosystem. ***
