Pemerintah Perkuat Koperasi Desa untuk Percepat Distribusi Bantuan

JAYAPURA - Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pangan, Zulkifli Hasan mengadakan rapat koordinasi dengan Pemerintah Provinsi Papua, yang digelar di Kantor Gubernur Papua, Selasa (14/7).

Dalam rapat tersebut membahas program prioritas presiden dalam bidang pangan di Provinsi Papua yang dihadiri perwakilan kepala daerah di Papua.

Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pangan, Zulkifli Hasan mengatakan, pemerintah terus memperkuat peran Koperasi Desa Merah Putih (KDMP) sebagai pusat layanan ekonomi masyarakat desa.

“Koperasi ini dipastikan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat berbelanja, tetapi akan menjadi simpul distribusi berbagai program pemerintah, mulai dari bantuan sosial, pupuk bersubsidi, hingga penyerapan hasil pertanian dan perikanan,” ujarnya.

Ia menjelaskan, berbagai program pemerintah nantinya akan dipusatkan melalui koperasi tersebut. Penyaluran bantuan pangan, bantuan alat dan mesin pertanian (alsintan), bantuan tunai, pupuk bersubsidi, hingga distribusi LPG 3 kg akan dilakukan melalui Koperasi Desa Merah Putih.

Selain menjadi pusat distribusi bantuan, koperasi juga akan berperan sebagai pengelola sarana produksi pertanian. Penyaluran alsintan tidak lagi dilakukan melalui kelompok tani, melainkan ditempatkan di koperasi agar dapat dimanfaatkan bersama oleh masyarakat.

"Alsintan nantinya ditempatkan di koperasi. Siapa pun yang membutuhkan dapat menggunakannya dengan sistem sewa. Dari situ koperasi juga memperoleh pendapatan," jelasnya.

Untuk memperkuat operasional koperasi di tingkat desa, pemerintah juga berencana memberikan dukungan sarana transportasi berupa satu unit truk bagi setiap Koperasi Desa Merah Putih. ***

JAYAPURA – Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan chaired a coordination meeting with the Papua Provincial Government at the Governor's Office in Jayapura on Tuesday (14 July) to discuss the implementation of the President's priority food security programs in Papua.

The meeting was attended by representatives of regional governments from across Papua and focused on strengthening coordination to support the delivery of national food security initiatives.

Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan said the government is reinforcing the role of the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives (KDMP) as integrated economic service centers for rural communities.

"These cooperatives will serve not only as places where people can purchase daily necessities, but also as distribution hubs for various government programs, ranging from social assistance and subsidized fertilizers to the procurement of agricultural and fisheries products," he said.

He explained that a wide range of government services and assistance programs will be channeled through the cooperatives. These include food assistance, agricultural machinery and equipment (alsintan), cash assistance, subsidized fertilizers, and the distribution of 3-kilogram LPG cylinders.

In addition to serving as distribution centers, the cooperatives will also manage agricultural production facilities. Agricultural machinery and equipment will no longer be distributed through farmer groups but instead placed under the management of village cooperatives so they can be shared and utilized more efficiently by local communities.

"The machinery will be stationed at the cooperatives. Anyone who needs it can use it through a rental system, which will also provide an additional source of income for the cooperatives," Zulkifli said.

To strengthen cooperative operations at the village level, the government also plans to provide each Merah Putih Village Cooperative with a truck to support the distribution of goods, agricultural inputs, and government assistance, while improving logistics and services for rural communities. ***
