Kapasitas PPID Ditingkatkan untuk Perbaiki Layanan Informasi Publik

JAYAPURA – Pemerintah Provinsi Papua meningkatkan kapasitas aparatur pengelola informasi untuk memperbaiki kualitas layanan informasi publik. Penguatan kemampuan tersebut dilakukan melalui pelatihan pengelolaan Website PPID dan Sistem Informasi Provinsi Papua Tengah.

Kepala Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Provinsi Papua, Jeri Agus Yudianto, mengatakan kebutuhan informasi publik terus berkembang seiring kemajuan teknologi digital. Kondisi tersebut menuntut aparatur mampu mengelola dan menyajikan informasi secara tepat.

Jeri menyampaikan hal tersebut saat membuka pelatihan pengelolaan Website PPID dan Sistem Informasi Provinsi Papua Tengah di Jayapura, Kamis (10/9/2026).

Menurut Jeri, pengelolaan informasi pemerintah tidak cukup hanya dengan menyediakan informasi. Informasi yang disampaikan kepada masyarakat harus akurat, aktual, mudah diakses, mudah dipahami, dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan.

“Pengelolaan informasi pemerintah saat ini tidak lagi cukup hanya menyediakan informasi,” kata Jeri.

Ia menjelaskan Pejabat Pengelola Informasi dan Dokumentasi (PPID) memiliki peran strategis dalam memastikan pelayanan informasi publik berjalan sesuai ketentuan. Peran tersebut juga berkaitan dengan upaya membangun pemerintahan yang transparan dan akuntabel.

“PPID memiliki posisi strategis dalam memastikan penyelenggaraan keterbukaan informasi publik berjalan,” ujarnya.

Karena itu, Jeri mendorong peserta pelatihan memahami pengelolaan informasi dan menerapkan pengetahuan tersebut dalam tugas pemerintahan. Kompetensi aparatur menjadi salah satu faktor yang menentukan kualitas pelayanan informasi kepada masyarakat.

Ia berharap pelatihan tersebut menghasilkan perubahan dalam tata kelola informasi Pemerintah Provinsi Papua Tengah. Hasil pelatihan diharapkan dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan layanan informasi dan komunikasi pemerintah. ***

According to Jeri, government information management is no longer simply about making information available. Information provided to the public must be accurate, up to date, accessible, easy to understand, and accountable.

“Government information management today is no longer simply about providing information,” Jeri said.

He explained that Public Information and Documentation Management Officers play a strategic role in ensuring that public information services are delivered in accordance with applicable regulations. Their role is also closely linked to efforts to build a transparent and accountable government.

“PPID holds a strategic position in ensuring the implementation of public information transparency,” he said.

Jeri therefore encouraged the training participants to gain a thorough understanding of information management and apply their knowledge in carrying out their government duties. The competence of public officials is a key factor in the quality of information services provided to the public.

He expressed hope that the training would improve information governance within the Central Papua Provincial Government. The knowledge and skills gained are expected to be applied to strengthen government information and communication services. ***
