Tiba di Jayapura, Tim Kemenkes RI Segera Benahi Corona di Papua

Tim Kementerian Kesehatan (Kemenkes) RI yang ditunjuk Presiden Jokowi untuk membenahi kondisi corona di sembilan provinsi, salah satunya Papua, tiba di Jayapura, Kamis (17/9/2020).

Tim yang dipimpin Tenaga Ahli Kemenkes RI Bidang Krisis Kesehatan, Iwan Trihapsoro, diterima Penjabat Sekda Papua Ridwan Rumasukan, di Kantor Gubernur Dok II, Jayapura.

Kepada wartawan usai pertemuan, Tenaga Ahli Kemenkes Iwan Trihapsoro memastikan siap membantu pemerintah setempat menangani Covid-19.

Lebih khusus pada upaya menekan angka kasus baru covid-19, tetapi juga menurunkan jumlah kematian akibat virus itu serta menaikan angka kesembuhannya. 

“Tapi karena kita baru tiba, kita akan lebih dulu melihat permasalahan yang ada di rumah sakit. Sebab untuk menurunkan angka kematian, lalu menaikan angka kesembuhan dan menekan kasus baru, rumah sakit harus memiliki SDM dan sarana yang cukup,” terang ia.

Dengan batas waktu dua minggu untuk bisa menangani Covid-19 di Papua, Iwan optimis dengan bantuan Satgas setempat, dapat mengendalikan corona.  

Hanya saja, dibutuhkan gerakan 3M dari seluruh komponen masyarakat Papua, yakni mencuci tangan dengan sabun, memakai masker, dan menjaga jarak dari orang lain. Hal tersebut dianggap ampuh menekan penularan Covid-19.

Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Papua, Roby Kayame menyatakan siap mendukung Tim Kemenkes untuk mengendalikan corona di Bumi Cenderawasih. Hanya saja pihaknya berharap untuk setiap kekurangan dalam penangan corona di Papua, bisa mendapat dukungan pemerintah pusat. 

“Contoh kebutuhan yang dibutuhkan Papua saat ini adalah alat PCR dan bahan habis pakai (APD). Sebab animo masyarakat untuk memeriksakan diri saat ini di Papua cukup tinggi”. 

“Sementara tenaga medis yang ada sangat terbatas berikut juga alat pendukungnya. Untuk itu kita harap ada dukungan pemerintah tetapi juga kita minta agar masyarakat pun dapat menerapkan protokol kesehatan secara disiplin,” pungkasnya.

A team of The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) of the Republic of Indonesia appointed by President Jokowi to improve the condition of the corona in 9 provinces, one of them is Papua. They arrived in Jayapura, Thursday (Sept. 17, 2020).

The team led by the Ministry of Health Crisis Expert, Iwan Trihapsoro, was received by the Acting Secretary of Papua Ridwan Rumasukan, at the Governor's Office of Dok II, Jayapura.

To reporters after the meeting, Ministry of Health Expert Iwan Trihapsoro made sure to be ready to help local governments deal with Covid-19. Specifically in efforts to reduce the number of new covid-19 cases, but also reduce the number of deaths from the virus and increase the cure rate.

"But since we just arrived, we will first see the problems that exist in the hospital. The hospital must have sufficient human resources and facilities to reduce the death rate, then increase the cure rate and reduce new cases," he explained.

With a two-week deadline to be able to deal with Covid-19 in Papua, Iwan is optimistic that with the help of the local Task Force, we can control the corona. 

It only takes 3M movement from all components of Papuan society, namely washing hands with soap, wearing masks, and keeping distance from others. This is considered to suppress covid-19 transmission.

Head of Papua Health Office, Roby Kayame stated ready to support the Ministry of Health Team to control the coronavirus. It's just that hopes for any shortcomings in corona handlers in Papua get the support of the central government.

"Papua needs tools and consumables (PPE). The reason for the interest of the people to check themselves today in Papua is quite high".

"We have limited medical personnel as well as supporting tools. Therefore, we hope there is government support but also we ask the public to apply health protocols in a disciplined way," he concluded.
