Keputusan itu dihasilkan dari pertemuan tahunan Governor Forest and Climate Task Force (GCF TF) Tahun 2022 di Manaus, Brasil, Rabu (16/3/202
"Provinsi Papua terpilih sebagai host atau tuan rumah GCF TF 2023 yang rencana pelaksanaannya pada bulan Juli - Agustus 2023 mendatang. Dimana ini menjadi suatu kebanggaan bagi kita di Indonesia, khususnya Provinsi Papua," terang Kepala Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo) Papua, Jeri A. Yudianto, lewat pesan singkat Whatsapp, Kamis (17/3/2022).
Sebelumnya, Pemerintah Provinsi Papua turut hadir dalam pertemuan tahunan GCF (Governors Cilmate and Forest) Task Force atau Satuan Tugas Gubernur untuk Hutan dan Perubahan Iklim di Kota Manaus, Negara Bagian Amazonas Brasil, Rabu kemarin.
Dalam kegiatan itu, delegasi Provinsi Papua membawa produk hasil hutan bukan kayu berupa noken yang diperkenalkan kepada masyarakat dunia. Tak hanya itu, turut dibawa madu, sagu serta minyak kayu.
"Dimana untuk semua produk yang ditampilkan itu, merupakan hasil kerjasama masyarakat adat dengan Dinas Kehutanan dan Lingkungan Hidup Papua melalui Kesatuan Pengelolaan Hutan dan Cabang Dinas Kehutanan dan Lingkungan Hidup,” jelas Kabid Perencanaan Kehutanan DKLH Papua, Estiko Tri Wiradyo yang ikut dalam delegasi Pemprov Papua.
Diketahui, Provinsi Papua merupakan salah satu pendiri GCF Task Force bersama 9 negara bagian /Provinsi yaitu Acre, Amapa, Amazonas, Maranhao, Mato Grosso, Para (Brazil), California, Illinois (Amerika Serikat), Aceh dan Papua (Indonesia) pada tahun 2009 – 2010.
Kegiatan tersebut digelar mulai 15 hingga 19 Maret 2022, dimana substansi yang dibahas dalam pertemuan itu yakni mengenai ekonomi kehutanan dan hak tenuarial, integrasi teknologi dengan pengetahuan dan kearifan lokal serta dukungan para pihak terkait dengan ekonomi kehutanan dan iklim. ***

The decision resulted from the annual meeting of the Governor Forest and Climate Task Force (GCF TF) 2022 in Manaus, Brazil, Wednesday (16/3/2022) night, where the delegation of Papua Province was represented by Papua Secretary Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun.
"Papua Province was chosen as the host of GCF TF 2023 which is planned for implementation in July - August 2023. It becomes a pride for us in Indonesia, especially Papua Province," said Head of Communication and Informatics Department of Papua, Jeri A. Yudianto, via Whatsapp text message, Thursday (03/17/2022).
Previously, the Provincial Government of Papua also attended the annual meeting of the GCF (Governors Climate and Forest) Task Force or The Governor's Task Force for Forests and Climate Change in Manaus City, Amazonas State of Brazil on Wednesday.
In the event, the Papua Provincial delegation brought non-timber forest products in the form of Noken and introduced to the world community. Also honey, sago and wood oil.
All the products displayed are the result of the cooperation of indigenous peoples with the Papua Forest and Environment Service through the Forest Management Unit and the Forest and Environment Service Branch," explained DKLH Papua Forestry Planning Commissioner, Estiko Tri Wiradyo who participated in the Papua Provincial Government delegation.
Papua Province is one of the founders of the GCF Task Force with 9 states / provinces namely Acre, Amapa, Amazonas, Maranhao, Mato Grosso, Para (Brazil), California, Illinois (United States), Aceh and Papua (Indonesia) in 2009 - 2010.
The event was held from March 15 to 19, 2022, where the substance discussed in the meeting was about the forestry economy and tenure rights, the integration of technology with knowledge and local wisdom and the support of parties related to the forestry and climate economy. ***
