Pengurus KONI Papua 2022-2026 Disahkan

JAYAPURA - Kepengurusan Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI) Provinsi Papua masa bhakti 2022-2026, resmi dikukuhkan pada Jumat (15/7/2022), di Sasana Krida Kantor Gubernur Papua Dok II, Kota Jayapura.

Pengurus baru disahkan Ketua Umum KONI Pusat, Marciano Norman, yang pada kesempatan tersebut menyatakan optimis dengan masa depan olahraga bumi cenderawasih. 

Sebab komposisi pengurus, sebagian besar diisi "orang lama" KONI Papua dan Panitia Besar Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PB PON) Papua, yang sukses pada iven empat tahunan 2021 lalu.

"Dibawah pimpinan Kenius Kogoya lalu melihat komposisi pengurus (KONI Papua), kolaborasi antara mereka yang duduk dalam PB PON dengan KONI Papua, saya yakin nanti Papua sebagai provinsi olahraga itu bukan hanya angan-angan semata, tetapi bisa jadi kenyataan," tegas Marciano dalam sambutannya, disela-sela pelantikan pengurus KONI Papua tersebut.

Marciano juga berpesan agar pengurus KONI Papua yang baru, dapat bergandengan tangan serta solid meningkatkan prestasi olahraga di tanah Papua, jelang pelaksanaan Pekan PON XXI Aceh - Sumut 2024 mendatang. 

Ketua Umum KONI Papua Kenius Kogoya menyatakan siap mengemban tugas besar menjadikan Papua sebagai provinsi olahraga. Dimana pihaknya bakal fokus menciptakan atlet-atlet Papua berkualitas melalui pembinaan berkelanjutan.

"Tentu cita-cita dan harapan besar ini dapat diwujudkan bersama seluruh pengurus KONI Papua," ujarnya. ***

JAYAPURA – The management of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) of Papua Province for the 2022-2026 period, was officially inaugurated on Friday (15/7/2022), at Sasana Krida, Papua Governor Office Dok II, Jayapura City.

The new board was endorsed by the Chairman of the Central KONI, Marciano Norman, who on the occasion expressed optimism about the future of the sport of Papua.

Because of the composition of the management, most of them are filled with "old people" of KONI Papua and the Grand Committee of the Papuan National Sports Week (PB PON), which was successful in the 2021 quadrennial event.

"On the leadership of Kenius Kogoya then saw the composition of the management (KONI Papua), the collaboration between those who sit in the PB PON and KONI Papua, I believe that Papua as a sports province is not just a dream, but should be a reality," said Marciano in his speech, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the KONI Papua management. 

Marciano also advised the new KONI Papua management to improve sports achievements in the land of Papua, ahead of the implementation of the upcoming PON XXI Aceh - North Sumatra 2024.

Chairman of KONI Papua Kenius Kogoya stated that he was ready to carry out the big task of making Papua a sports province, his party will focus on creating quality Papuan athletes through sustainable coaching.

"Of course, these great hopes can be realized together with all KONI Papua management," he said. ***
