BPS : Cabai Masih jadi Penyumbang Inflasi Tertinggi BPS: Chili Still the Highest Contributor to Inflation
Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Papua mencatat komoditas cabai masih menjadi salah satu penyumbang inflasi tertinggi dalam beberapa bulan terakhir di Bumi Cenderawasih. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Papua noted that chili commodities are still one of the highest contributors to inflation in recent months.
JAYAPURA - Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Papua mencatat komoditas cabai masih menjadi salah satu penyumbang inflasi tertinggi dalam beberapa bulan terakhir di Bumi Cenderawasih.
Cabai rawit juga menjadi penyumbang inflasi tertinggi dengan nilai 0,22 persen di Januari 2024.
“Tingkat inflasi berdasarkan month to month (m-to-m) sebesar 0,01 persen pada Januari 2024 dengan penyumbang terbesar yakni komoditas cabai rawit, 0,22 persen,” terang Kepala Badan Pusat Statistik Papua Adriana Helena Carolina, di Jayapura, Jumat.
Kendati begitu, masih ada komoditas lainnya yang turut menyumbang inflasi di Januari 2024. Antara lain, ikan tuna sebesar 0,11 persen, bawang merah sebesar 0,08 persen, serta bawang putih, air kemasan, minyak goreng, dan beras yang masing-masingnya sebesar 0,02 persen.
“Memang perkembangan harga berbagai komoditas pada Januari 2024 secara umum menunjukkan adanya kenaikan.”
“Bahkan berdasarkan hasil pemantauan kabupaten/kota Indek Harga Konsumen di Provinsi Papua, pada Januari 2024 terjadi Inflasi year on year (y-on-y) sebesar 1,52 persen, atau terjadi kenaikan IHK dari 102,30 pada Januari 2023 menjadi 103,85 di Januari 2024,” tandasnya. ***

Cayenne pepper also contributes to the highest inflation with a value of 0.22 percent in January 2024.
"The inflation rate on a month-to-month (m-to-m) basis is 0.01 percent in January 2024 with the largest contributor being cayenne pepper commodities, 0.22 percent," explained Head of the Papua Central Statistics Agency Adriana Helena Carolina, in Jayapura, Friday.
However, other commodities still contribute to inflation in January 2024. Among others, tuna by 0.11 percent, shallots by 0.08 percent, and garlic, bottled water, cooking oil, and rice by 0.02 percent each.
"Indeed, the development of prices of various commodities in January 2024 generally shows an increase."
"Even based on the results of monitoring districts/cities of the Consumer Price Index in Papua Province, in January 2024 there will be year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 1.52 percent, or an increase in CPI from 102.30 in January 2023 to 103.85 in January 2024," she said. ***
