PDAM Jayapura Capai 36.800 Pelanggan

JAYAPURA - Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Jayapura merilis jumlah pelanggan yang sampai saat ini mencapai 36.800 nasabah. Dari jumlah tersebut, sekitar 89 persen berada di Kota Jayapura, sedangkan sisanya di Kabupaten Jayapura. 

Direktur Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Jayapura, Entis Sutisna memastikan institusinya terus berupaya lewat berbagai inovasi mendorong pembukaan sambungan baru. Sebab sampai sekarang baru sekitar 75 persen warga Kota Jayapura yang bisa mengakses layanan air bersih.

"Memang masih ada 25 persen warga Jayapura belum terlayani air bersih. Belum maksimalnya pelayanan air bersih dari PDAM Jayapura itu dikarenakan sejumlah faktor". 

"Diantaranya karena ada beberapa wilayah yang terhambat kondisi geografis, seperti tingkat elevasi ketinggiannya yang tidak mendukung untuk mengalirkan air bersih dengan pipa PDAM, kemudian juga ada faktor jaringan pipanya belum ada," jelas Entis, Sabtu (20/8/2022), di Jayapura. 

Entis sadar bahwa PDAM Jayapura diberi target secara nasional, agar seluruh warganya harus terlayani air bersih. Dimana selain memberi diskon pemasangan sambungan baru, PDAM Jayapura juga terus berupaya meningkatkan penambahan jaringan pipa distribusi.

Kendati demikian, dalam menjalankan kebijakan tersebut dibutuhkan biaya yang tidak sedikit, sementara PDAM Jayapura sangat bergantung dari pembayaran rekening air pelanggan.

"Makanya, saya kembali mengimbau pelanggan PDAM Jayapura untuk rutin melakukan pembayaran tagihan air.  Sehingga kalau menunggak, ada tim yang dikerahkan untuk melakukan pemutusan".

"Tapi intinya kalau menunggak itu memang menghambat kinerja kami dalam melakukan sejumlah perbaikan pelayanan. Sebab jelas kami hidup dari pembayaran rekening pelanggan. PDAM Jayapura tidak didukung dana dari luar selain pembayaran rekening pelanggan," tandasnya. ***

"There some areas are hampered by geographical conditions, such as the level of elevation of the height that does not support to drain clean water with PDAM pipes, then there are also factors that the pipeline network does not exist yet," explained Entis, Saturday (20/8/2022), in Jayapura. 

Entis is aware that PDAM of Jayapura is given a national target, so that all residents must be served by clean water. In addition to providing discounts on the installation of new connections, PDAM of Jayapura also continues to strive to increase the addition of distribution pipelines.

However, it requires a lot of money in carrying out the policy, while PDAM Jayapura is very dependent on customer account payments.

“Therefore, I urge customers to regularly pay water bills.  So that if there is arrear in payment, there is a team deployed to make a break".

“The arrears will hinder our performance in making a number of service improvements. Because we live on the payment of customer accounts. PDAM Jayapura is not supported by other funds other than customer account payments," he said. ***
