Pemkab Keerom Segera Cairkan Dana Beasiswa

Pemerintah Kabupaten Keerom memastikan segera menyalurkan dana beasiswa bagi penerimanya yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia paling lambat pada November mendatang.

Hal itu disampaikan Pjs Bupati Keerom Ridwan Rumasukun, usai bertemu Himpunan Mahasiswa Keerom, diruang kerjanya Rabu (21/10/2020). Ridwan hadir didampingi Sekda serta Kepala Dinas Pendidikan setempat.

“Saya sudah instruksikan agar dana ini dapat segera disalurkan bagi penerima beasiswa yang ada yang di Papua maupun luar Papua. Batas waktunya bulan ini harus selesai sehingga bulan depan sudah bisa disalurkan,” ujar ia.

Ridwan jelaskan, penyaluran beasiswa yang tertunda hingga saat ini, dikarenakan pendataan telatakibat Covid. Dimana pendataan dilakukan mulai tingkat distrik hingga kampung.

“Karena pemerintah menginginkan para penerima beasiswa itu betul-betul mahasiswa yang masih aktif,” ucap ia.

Selanjutnya, prosedur yang dilakukan yakni meminta nama dari distrik, selanjutnya dikompilasi oleh dinas terkait.

“Disitu akan ada pengecekkan lagi kembali ke kampung, setelah itu mereka validasi bersama himpunan mahasiswa Keerom untuk memastikan penerima benar-benar mahasiswa aktif. Setelah data tersebut selesai, maka nama-nama yang ada akan dipublikasi agar ada kontrol sosial,” terang ia.

Diketahui, dana beasiswa bagi mahasiswa Kabupaten Keerom senilai Rp 1,050 miliar yang masuk dalam pagu 2020, hingga kini belum tersalurkan.

Hal tersebut membuat, para penerima beasiswa yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia, belum dapat membayar uang kuliah.

It was conveyed to Regent Keerom Ridwan Rumasukun, after meeting with Keerom student association, in his office Wednesday (21/10/2020). Ridwan was accompanied by the Secretary and the Head of the local Education Office.

"I have instructed, this funds can be distributed immediately to existing scholarship recipients in Papua and outside Papua. The deadline for this month must be completed so that next month can be channeled," he said.

Ridwan explained that the distribution of scholarships has been delayed until now, due to late data collection due to Covid-19. Data collection is carried out from the district to the village level.

"Because the government wants the recipients of the scholarships to be really active students," he said.

Furthermore, the procedure is to request the name of the district, then compiled by the relevant office.

"There will be another check back to the village, after they validate with Keerom student association to make sure the recipient is really an active student. Once the data is complete, the names will be published in order for social control," he explained.

It is known that scholarship funds for Keerom District students worth 1,050 billion IDR that are included in the 2020 ceiling, until now have not been distributed.

This makes the recipients of scholarships scattered throughout Indonesia, not able to pay tuition.
