Donor Darah Jelang HUT RI, Gubernur : Setetes Darah Bisa Selamatkan Nyawa

JAYAPURA - Dalam rangka memperingati HUT ke-78 Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia (RI), Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Papua menggelar aksi donor darah, Jumat (11/8/2023), di Jayapura.

Deretan pejabat Pemprov Papua pun turun langsung mendonorkan darahnya, sebagai bentuk tindakan nyata demi tujuan kemanusiaan. 

Salah satu diantaranya, Pelaksana Harian (Plh) Gubernur Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun yang mendonorkan satu kantong darah. 

Gubernur datang didampingi Plh. Sekda Papua Derek Hegemur, Plt. Asisten Sekda Papua Bidang Perekonomian dan Kesra, Suzana Wanggai, Kepala Dinas Kominfo Papua Jeri A. Yudianto, serta sejumlah pejabat TNI/Polri.

"Karena setetes darah ini sangat berharga untuk bisa menyelamatkan nyawa orang oleh aksi sosial itu mempunyai nilai kemanusiaan," ujar Gubernur Ridwan usai mendonor.

Ia pun berharap, aksi donor darah yang melibatkan masyarakat, TNI/Polri serta Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) tersebut, dapat menghasilkan 200 kantong darah.

"Apalagi stok di PMI harus selalu kurang karena setiap detik, menit pasti ada yang membutuhkan kantong darah," ucap ia.

Asisten Sekda Papua Suzana Wanggai selaku Ketua Panitia HUT Kemerdekaan RI 2023 mengatakan selain aksi donor darah, Pemprov Papua juga menyerahkan bingkisan kepada keluarga pahlawan. Suzana berharap bantuan tersebut bisa meringankan beban keluarga pahlawan jelang HUT Kemerdekaan. 

Gesye Samori, anak Anggota Veteran Pejuang Pepera, Jimmy Samori, mengapresiasi perhatian Pemerintah Provinsi Papua kepada para pejuang. 

Dia berharap pada peringatan HUT Kemerdekaan di 17 Agustus 2023 mendatang, ayahnya yang seorang pejuang dapat dilibatkan, mengingat semangat juang yang masih berkobar dalam hati mereka.

"Ayah kami sudah di kursi roda tapi semangat masih tinggi. Untuk itu, kita harap bisa dilibatkan dalam peringatan kemerdekaan Indonesia 17 Agustus nanti," kata ia.

Senada disampaikan Ruth Koromath, anak dari Veteran Pejuang Pepera, Permenas Koromat. Kendati demikian, dia berharap perhatian pemerintah tak hanya dalam bentuk bingkisan dan bantuan lainnya. Tetapi ada keberpihakan untuk membantu cucu dari para pejuang Pepera untuk diterima berdinas di TNI/Polri.

"Anak kami yang adalah cucu pejuang Pepera ini sudah beberapa kali mendaftar. Bahkan saya membawa bukti ayah kami sebagai pejuang namun tidak juga diterima. Untuk itu, saya berharap dari TNI/Polri bisa mendengar aspirasi ini," harapnya. ***

JAYAPURA - In commemoration of the 78th Commemoration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the Papua Provincial Government held Blood Donation Action, Friday (11/8/2023), in Jayapura.

A row of Papua Provincial Government officials also descended directly to donate blood, as a form of concrete action for humanitarian purposes.

One of them, the Daily Executive of the Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun, donated a bag of blood.

The Governor came accompanied by Papua Regional Secretary Derek Hegemur, Acting Assistant Secretary of Papua for Economic Affairs and People Welfare, Suzana Wanggai, Head of the Papua Communication and Informatics Department, Jeri A. Yudianto, and a number of National Armed and Police Forces officials.

"This drop of blood is very valuable to save people's lives by social action, it has human value," said Governor Ridwan after donating.

He also hopes that the blood donation action involving the community, the National Armed and Police Forces and Regional Apparatus Organizations can collect 200 bags of blood

"Moreover, the blood stock at PMI is always less because every second, minute someone needs a blood bag," he said.

Papua Assistant Secretary Suzana Wanggai as Chairman of the 2023 Indonesian Independence Day Commemoration Committee said that in addition to blood donation, the Papua Provincial Government also handed over care packages to the families of fighters. Suzana hopes that this assistance can ease the burden on the fighters' families ahead of Independence Day. 

Gesye Samori, a son of the Veteran Act of Free Choice, Jimmy Samori, appreciated the attention of the Papua Provincial Government to the fighters.

He hopes that on the commemoration of Independence Day on August 17, 2023, the father who is a fighter can be involved, considering the fighting spirit that is still burning in their hearts.

"Our father is already in a wheelchair but spirits are still high. For this reason, we hope to be involved in the commemoration of Indonesian Independence Day on August 17," he said.

The same was conveyed by Ruth Koromath, the daughter of the Veteran Act of Free Choice, Permenas Koromat. Nevertheless, he hopes that the government's attention will not only be in the form of care packages and other assistance. But there is a partiality to help the grandchildren of Pepera fighters to be accepted for service in the National Armed and Police Forces.

"Our son, who is the grandson of a Pepera fighter, has registered several times. In fact, I brought evidence of our father as a warrior but it was not accepted. For that, I hope that the National Armed and Police Forces pay attention to this aspiration," he hoped. ***
