The Papua Provincial Government, Wednesday (09/9/2020), officially announced 112 of Papua's indigenous doctors passed the administration of the Special Autonomy Affirmation Specialist Scholarship program in 2020
This is as stated in the announcement letter of the Provincial Government of Papua Number 005 / 15892 /SET on the Scholarship Program of Special Autonomy Papua Affirmation Specialists signed by the Acting Regional Secretary, DR. M Ridwan Rumasukun,SE. MM on behalf of the Governor of Papua.
"Addressed to medical scholars (S1) Papua Special Autonomy affirmative physician scholarship program who have passed administrative selection to be able to attend on Monday 14 September 2020 at 13:00 WIT at BPSDM auditorium of Papua Province, Kotaraja," the letter read.
The 112 of Papuan doctors who were declared graduates were mostly in charge of Jayapura City, Lanny Jaya Regency, Biak Numfor, Waropen, Yapen Islands, Mimika, Puncak, Boven Digoel, Nabire, Mamberamo Raya, Merauke, Intan Jaya, Sarmi, Bintang Mountains, Paniai, Dogiyai, Supiori, Jayawijaya, Bintuni Bay Regency and Sorong City and Regency.
While the specialist programs that are their choice include Obstetric and Gynaecology, Clinical Nutrition Science, Neurology, Inside Diseases, Clinical Pathology, Neurosurgery, Radiology, Pediatric Health Sciences.
Then Specialist in Heart and Vascular Disease, Pulmonology and Respiration (Pulmonologist), Orthopedic and Traumatology, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Skin and Genital Diseases Science, Psychiatry, Anesthesiology, Neurosurgery, Eye Disease Sciences, Clinical Microbiology, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Head of Papua's Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) Aryoko AF Rumaropen,SP. M.Eng said the Special Autonomy Affirmation Specialist Scholarship (Otsus) program in 2020 is the program of the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe,S.IP. MH and and Deputy Governor Klemen Tinal,SE. MM in order to meet the needs of specialists in Papua.
The Papuan government is committed to providing the best health services. And to make it happen, Rumaropen continued, this year the governor and deputy governor provided a scholarship big enough for indigenous Papuan doctors to take specialists in various universities in the country and abroad.
"The main objective from the program of the governor and deputy governor of Papua is to excel doctors from Papua who are professional and skilled. After completion, they returned to Papua to serve the community," said the Head of BPSDM.
