A total of 102 Papuan Indigenous (OAP) doctors who will take the specialist level of the Special Autonomy scholarship program have completed interview tests followed by supplies.
Information gathered through the Papuan Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) stated that the selection of interviews was conducted against 102 doctors from 112 participants who were declared to have passed the administrative selection
"The selection of interviews for specialist scholarships has been conducted on Monday September 14th 2020 at 1 p.m. until completion. Followed by 102 participants from 112 participants who passed the file selection," said BPSDM Papua Secretary, Anthony M. Mirin, Sunday (9/20/2020).
The interview test was opened through the brief direction of the Head of Planning of The Education Program Affirmation and Human Resources competitiveness of Papua Elius Enembe, S.Kep, M.Kes representing the Head of BPSDM Papua.
Then continued technical direction of selection implementation submitted by head of Cooperation, Development and Evaluation Boyke Semuel Jufuway, SH, MPP.
Furthermore, BPSDM Papua Secretary Anthony M. Mirin, presented an insight and motivational briefing session. This interview selection was conducted by engaging senior specialists in Papua as interview panelists.
All participants are further planned to be included in the PPDS Pre-Matriculation in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Indonesia (UI) and in preparation for UI entrance selection or SIMAK UI which takes place in early November.
Previously the Head of BPSDM Papua, Aryoko F Rumaropen said, after graduating administration, the next stage is these doctors pass the interview stage and pre-matriculation then the university entrance selection according to the medical specialization.
Aryoko Rumaropen explained that the Special Autonomy Papua 2020 Affirmation Specialist Scholarship program is based on the needs of health workers in Papua which until now has not been evenly distributed throughout the region in Papua.
"This specialist education program is in accordance with the direction of the governor and deputy governor of Papua who looks at the condition of the region and the health condition of Papuans. So the government needs to prepare specialist doctors to answer the blindness of health services in Papua,"He explained.
Rumaropen confirmed that this scholarship is awarded to all indigenous Papuan doctors who serve in Papua and West Papua.
"The opportunity is opened to all Papuan doctors who are in charge throughout Papua. Whether in charge of the Bird's Head (West Papua), in swamps, mountains or valleys or coastal (Papua) everyone has the same opportunity," he said.
