The Provincial Government of Papua held its first briefing in the third week of January 2021, on the Page of the Governor's Office, Jayapura.
Attended by as many as 2,035 State Civil Apparatus, briefing that morning was carried out about 1 meter away. All State Civil Apparatus also wear masks.
Acting Secretary of Papua Doren Wakerkwa as the head of the morning briefing, appreciated all State Civil Apparatus who follow the briefing really apply health protocols appropriately.
He also instructed every State Civil Apparatus that meets health requirements, to be vaccinated so that the risk of exposure to COVID-19 getting smaller.
"For sure the State Civil Apparatus of Papua Provincial Government should support this vaccination program. Because it is expected that after all people in Papua are vaccinated, the spread of the COVID-19 virus can be suppressed immediately and life can return to normal even though health protocols must be implemented in a disciplined manner," he said, Monday (1/18/2021).
Nevertheless, Doren said that the implementation of vaccination will prioritize those who have never been exposed to COVID-19. On the other hand, vaccination is also prioritized for health workers.
"But hopefully in the future so that all circles of society must be vaccinated. Surely we State Civil Apparatus as servants of society should be an example first. So that this vaccination program can be maximal and successful in Papua, for the sake of controlling the COVID-19 virus," he hoped.
While related to the performance of the Papua Provincial Government, added the Regional Secretary, after three months of not implementing briefing due to the Christmas and New Year holidays, he instructed that the activities will be routinely held every Monday morning.
"In the following months the morning briefing will be re-activated, both in the courtyard of the Governor's Office of Dok II Jayapura and the Autonomous Office Kotaraja".
"Because this morning there are directives and evaluations that must be submitted to the staff, for the sake of effective, efficient and targeted governance," he concluded.
