JAYAPURA - The Representative of the United Nations in Indonesia appreciates the Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe who has given full support to the implementation of the staff work program in the world-level organization, during his service in Papua.
This was conveyed by the Head of the United Nations Representative in Indonesia Valerie Juliand when visiting the Office of the Governor of Papua to review the implementation of programs that have been running in Papua.
"We express our gratitude for governor Lukas Enembe's support for UN programs and also the staff who carry out their duties in Papua," said Valerie, who was received by the Assistant for Government of Papua Province, Doren Wakerkwa, in Jayapura on Tuesday.
Valerie, who at the time was accompanied by the Chief Security Advisor of the United Nations, Joseph Katuramu, said she wanted to discuss programs already underway, including opportunities for cooperation with the Papua Provincial Government in an effort to achieve sustainable development goals.
"We have been in Papua since Monday, May 16, 2022 and will stay until Friday, May 20, 2022".
"And in addition to meeting the Papua Provincial Government, I will also meet the UN staff working in Papua," he explained.
Papua Provincial Government Assistant, Doren Wakerkwa in the discussion ensured that the implementation of the Papua government in each Regional Work Unit (SKPD) continues as it should and optimally.
He also reported the current situation of Covid-19 cases in Papua that have been hit and security conditions in Papua, where the Police Chief and Commander have worked optimally in controlling the situation to remain conducive. ***
