JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government this year allocated IDR 3.2 trillion for domestic spending on goods and services, as a follow-up to president Jokowi's direction which instructed an increase in the use of local products, especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The IDR 3.2 trillion fund is sourced from 40 percent of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) of Papua Province for the 2022 fiscal year.
"President Jokowi has given a target this year, there must be a use of IDR 500 trillion in state money, used for spending on the use of domestic products. In Papua, it must be 40 percent of the regional budget or around Rp3.2 trillion".
"So that currently we are trying to fulfill the President's direction, to increase the use of domestic products, especially MSME products," said the Head of the Papua Province Goods and Services Procurement Bureau, Debora Salosa, on Monday (30/5/2022), in Jayapura.
Meanwhile, regarding efforts to fulfill the President's instruction, continued Debora, her party and staff are compiling a local e-catalog for the procurement of Papuan goods and services to be officially registered, so that it can be used by third parties.
"But of course, the local products that will be included in the e-Catalog will definitely be selected by us. This means that there are conditions that must be met. In order to meet the standards, of course, we target this e-Catalog to start launching in August 2022," said Debora.
Debora ensures that the determination of local products into the e-Catalog of procurement of goods and services is not cut down. However, the process will be carried out carefully and wisely, but the benefits must be felt by indigenous Papuan MSMEs. ***
