JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government released the progress of the construction of the new building of the Governor's Office and MRP, each reaching 89 percent until mid-October 2022.
That way, Assistant for General Affairs of the Papua Regional Secretary Derek Hegemur ensured that the inauguration of the two iconic buildings of Jayapura City would still be carried out at the end of December, according to the instructions of the regional head.
"From the results of our field monitoring with the Local Government Budget Team, we have seen directly and received reports from PT. PP which states the progress of the work reaches 89 percent".
"In principle, we are happy because the development of the construction of these two offices is so fast and according to plan. Thus, we hope that the inauguration agenda will be carried out on December 27, 2022 according to the wishes of the Governor. Because this is a monumental building and icon of Jayapura City, so we hope that at the end of this year we will inaugurate it," he said.
Head of the Papua Public Works and Public Housing Service (PUPR) Girius One Yoman stated that his party has been continuing to encourage the progress of the construction of the two offices to run on time.
Moreover, he received a direct mandate from the regional head to ensure that the work of the two iconic new buildings was completed as scheduled and inaugurated later this year.
"In technical position, we currently continue to push for the construction of these two buildings so that in the remaining two months, we will definitely achieve the target, and in accordance with the governor's plan to be inaugurated on December 27, 2022".
"So we are optimistic (that the construction could be on time), the PUPR will always control so that the work is in accordance with the plan," he said.
It is known that the construction of the new building of the Papua Governor's Office cost IDR 393 billion, while the MRP building was IDR 291 billion. Both buildings are financed from the Regional Budget.
These two buildings are planned to be inaugurated in conjunction with the KPU Papua Office and the Goods and Services Procurement Bureau of Papua. ***
