JAYAPURA - The Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) document of three new autonomous regions (DOB), namely South Papua, Central Papua, and Highland Papua, was officially handed over by the central government.
Submission of documents by the Director General of Regional Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Teguh Setyabudi, to the Regional Secretary of Papua, Ridwan Rumasukun, Wednesday (30/11/2022), in Jayapura.
The Regional Secretary of Papua, Ridwan Rumasukun appreciated the Director General of Regional Development and his staff and the Head of the Papua Provincial Bappeda and his staff for their commitment to oversee the implementation of government in the three new autonomous regions.
Nevertheless, the Secretary hopes that the government must protect and uphold dignity, give affirmation and respect for the basic rights of Indigenous Papuans (OAP), both in the economic, social and cultural fields.
"Furthermore, it is necessary to accelerate welfare development and improve the quality of sustainable and sustainable public services to improve development in the Papua region," explained Ridwan.
Head of the Papua Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) Yohanis Wailo said the submission of RKPD documents for the three new provinces was facilitated by the Director General of Regional Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs which was coordinated with the Papua Government as the main province.
"This means that the document is in accordance with the budget preparation cycle or RKPD planning documents, so that it becomes a benchmark or basis for the implementation of government in an area," he said.
Yohanis added, specifically for the preparation of the RKPD, all documents are carried out in coordination with the province of Papua, because the conditions for the implementation of the Papua provincial government are different from others.
"We have special autonomy, so when it is expanded into 3 new autonomous regions, the main province is obliged to prepare facilitation of all cooperation documents with the central government," he said. ***
