JAYAPURA - Digestive disorders dominate cases handled by the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of Jayapura. This happened during the Eid holiday and Joint Leave a week ago.
"Many cases at Jayapura Hospital experience digestive disorders such as diarrhea, gastritis, and skin due to food and chemicals that have an impact on allergies for children and the elderly," explained Anton Mote, in Jayapura, Thursday.
Although there is a surge in cases handled by the Jayapura Regional Hospital, the phenomenon is not too worrying. Because the disease suffered is more triggered due to excessive eating and drinking patterns or other situations.
"Or not because of a chronic permanent disease, and it is a phenomenon that is usually complained about during the Eid holiday in the previous year. Even during the Christmas holidays," Anton said.
In addition, continued Anton Mote, outpatient care at RSUD Dok II was opened earlier than previously expected.
So even though there is a surge in cases, health services continue to run as they should.
"The point is that during holidays and Eid joint leave, there are no obstacles in handling patients at Dok II Hospital. We have anticipated it by increasing bed capacities"
"We have opened at Tropical Disease, so there is no crowd in the emergency room, there's no long queue," he said. ***
