JAYAPURA - A total of 33 members of the Heritage Flag Hoisting Troop (Paskibraka) of Papua in 2023 have been officially inaugurated.

Inauguration by the Daily Executive of Papua Governor Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun, Wednesday (16/8/2023) night, in Jayapura.

Governor Rumasukun said he was grateful to see that the 33 members of the Heritage Flag Hoisting Troop were in good health despite undergoing heavy training for so long.

He hopes that all members can carry out their state duties properly on August 17 tomorrow.  

"Hopefully, it will be a tum moment for other young Papuans to see these troops carry out their duties well," Ridwan said after the inauguration.

He on that occasion also hoped that the confirmed Heritage Flag Hoisting Troop members would become leaders in Papua and in Indonesia being an example of loving the nation. 

It is known that the inauguration of the best students from various regions in Papua was also witnessed by elements of the Coordination Forum for Regional Leaders Papua and the heads of Regional Working Units within the Papua Provincial Government.

Before being inaugurated, the Heritage Flag Hoisting Troop members said the Indonesian Pledge led by the Head of the Papua Sports and Youth Office, Terry Wanena.

The Governor of Papua after the inauguration symbolically pinned the badge to the master of ceremonies as a sign of the inauguration of Heritage Flag Hoisting Troop members. ***
