SERUI - The Acting Governor of Papua, Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun during his visit to Yapen Islands Regency, on Wednesday (10/18/2023) to visit the Ambaidiru coffee production house.
Ambaidiru coffee was recently introduced in Milan, Italy. The typical Papuan coffee received a positive response from Milanese residents.
Meanwhile, the visit of Governor Rumasukun received a warm welcome from local residents, who enthusiastically demonstrated the coffee production process in one of the village unit cooperatives, Ambaidiru, Kosiwo, Yapen Islands.
The governor, who was accompanied by Acting Secretary of Papua Derek Hegemur, Chairman of the Family Welfare Empowerment of Papua Linda Onibala and Acting Regent Yapen Welliam Manderi, could not hide his pride.
"I am very happy to be here in Ambaidiru with the coffee. Not using fertilizer so that is the characteristic of Ambaidiru coffee, he said there is a mint flavor."
"So, ladies and gentlemen here, let's take care of the quality and characteristics of the coffee," said Rumasukun.
During his visit to the Ambaidiru coffee production house, Governor Rumasukun had a dialogue with residents in five local villages, which were formerly incorporated in one area called Ambaidiru.
The governor handed over a number of cash assistance and aid packages for coffee farmer groups, including coffee grinders, drying houses, coffee processing machines, coffee processing buildings, coffee seeds and other work tools.
The governor also handed over food to local residents to accelerate the reduction of stunting. ***
