JAYAPURA – Cooking Fish Competition and Fishery Food Menu Innovation Competition at the Papua Province level was officially opened by the Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun, Thursday (9/11/2023) morning.
Governor Rumasukun said the competition is to prepare the 2045 golden generation produced by extraordinary mothers and children.
"This means that the children who participate in this competition will become the golden generation if has been prepared since today."
"Therefore, I give high appreciation to the Marine and Fisheries Service which has initiated this activity every year. Even the provincialgovernment will finance participants who win the competition, to take part in similar activities at the national level,"said Rumasukun.
Rumasukun on that occasionmotivated the children who participated in the activity. Because the results will have an impact on being their career footprint in the future. "But not only that, it will be recorded as a good thing for the Land of Papua," he said.
Head of the Papua Marine and Fisheries Service, Iman Djuniawal said the cooking fish competition was intended for the family empowerment at the district and city levels. Meanwhile, the fishery food menu innovation competition was attended by the younger generation under the age of 25 years.
"The point is that we will participate in winning this competition to take part in the national level competition next week in Jakarta," he said.
It is known that the competition with the theme "fish for the golden generation" was attended by the young generation under the age of 25 years, most of them are high school students in the Jayapura region as well as the family empowerment in districts and cities.
The winner of the competition will be sent to Jakarta to participate in a similar competition in order to enliven the commemoration of the 10th National Fish Day (Harkanas),which falls on November 21, 2023. ***
