JAYAPURA – The Association of Medical and Laboratory Equipment Companies (Gakeslab) of Papua held a training about Good Method of Distribution of Medical Devices (CDAKB) for the person in charge of technical (PIC) for distributors of medical devices in Jayapura, Thursday (9/11/2023).
Head of the CenterRegional Health Laboratory of Papua, Selly Ajawaila welcomed the training which aimed to increase the capacity of PIC.
"That way, PICs can prevent damage and ensure health that is distributed. Then what was sent was also in good condition, as well as when it arrived at its destination, so as to avoid damage and contamination," he said.
Head of the Working Team for Supervision and Certification of Medical Device Distribution Facilities of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Helsy Pahlemi, hopes that PIC can become reliable professionals through the training agenda.
"Because the capacity of PIC is improved so that they become the driving force in their company to be able to understand regulations."
"For example, preventing fake or illegal medical devices from entering the Papua region. They must care about the current regulations. It can be known through training this time," he said.
Secretary of Association of Medical and Laboratory Equipment Companies of Papua, Nixon Ayomi added that the distribution of medical devices is one of the things that his organization takes seriously.
"That's why we encourage his party to hold training for PIC in Jayapura. This activity was attended by 30 medical equipment distributor companies, lasting for two days in Jayapura City," he said. ***
