JAYAPURA - The Papua Provincial Government signed an agreement with ten National Shelter Hospitals.
The signing by the Acting Governor of Papua Dr. Ridwan Rumasukun, SE, MM with the ten national hospitals on Monday (11/20/2023) on the 9th floor of the Governor's Office, Jayapura.
Director of Referral Health Services at the Ministry of Health drg. Yuli Astuti Saripawan, M.Kes said, the Ministry of Health will continue to transform in an effort to improve access and quality of services to accelerate health development programs. One of the pillars is the transformation of referral services.
"I would like to thank the Papua Provincial Government and all national and regional hospitals that have carried out the mandate stated in the decision of the Minister of Health. As a legal umbrella, the priority service delivery network is based on the decree of three ministers, namely the Minister of Home Affairs, Minister of Health, and Minister of Finance in 2018. The goal is to improve the quality of health services in all hospitals in Indonesia, including in Papua Province," said Yuli.
Meanwhile, the cooperation aims to provide assistance in a number of regional hospitals owned by Papua Province and in districts/cities.
The ten types of health priority services are heart health, cancer, stroke, maternal and child health, diabetes mellitus, Uro-nephrology, Gastrohepatology, respiration and tuberculosis, emerging infectious diseases, and mental health.
A total of ten hospitals attended the event, namely Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Prof. Dr. dr. Mahar Mardjono Hospital, Harapan Kita Hospital, Persahabatan Hospital, Fatmawati Hospital, Dr. Soetomo Surabaya Hospital, Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar Hospital, and Prof. Dr, R.D. Kandou Manado Hospital, Sardjito Yogyakarta Hospital, and Saiful Anwar Malang Hospital.
President Director of Harapan Kita Heart and Blood Vessel Hospital (RSJPD) Dr. dr. Iwan Dakota, SpJP (K), MARS representing the leaders of national hospitals said, there were six main hospitals present, namely Dharmais Hospital (cancer treatment), Harapan Kita Hospital (national heart center and supervisor), Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (urology supervisor), RSPON Prof. Dr. dr. Mahar Mardjono (stroke supervisor / national brain center), RSAB Harapan Kita (provider of maternal and child health centers), Persahabatan Hospital (national respiratory center), Fatmawati Hospital.
In addition, there were also four regional hospitals namely Dr. Soetomo Surabaya Hospital, Sardjito Hospital, Kandou Hospital, and Saiful Anwar Hospital.
"This activity is the fourth pillar of health transformation and we are ready to provide assistance to major referral hospitals in Papua Province and hospitals in districts/cities. Therefore, we ask for the willingness of the governor to support this program. We hope that this synergy will improve the quality of health services," said dr. Iwan.
The Acting Governor of Papua Dr. Ridwan Rumasukuan, SE, MM thanked and gave high appreciation to the President of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of Health because this program can save the Papuan people from 10 priority diseases that are threatening Papua.
"As the Provincial Government of Papua, we are ready to support this good program to save our people. With this national hospital assistance program, in the future, we will not need to refer heavy patients outside Papua. I deliberately asked the Papuan House of Representatives to attend so that we can see together what we must prepare and include in the 2024 regional budget. I want this program not only to be a story on paper but really to help the people of Papua," said Rumasukun.
